JohnWHITMARSHPassed away peacefully at home on Friday 9th January 2026 aged 79 years.

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all.

Service being held to celebrate John's life at Plymouth Crematorium at The Park, Ceremony Room 1, on Monday 2nd February 2026 at 1pm.

All are welcome. Following the service please join the family at The Park Cafe.

Family flowers only please. Donations to RNLI if desired by retiring collection.

Thoughts are with John's family
I knew John in the 80's and early 90's when we sailed/raced Seaspeak in Plymouth Sound. Wonderful, thoughtful gentleman who had an exceptional knowledge of local sailing conditions. Understated but an authentic, considerate, empathetic leadership style which meant you always felt safe when he plotted the best course to take. Will be missed.
